Softbits steps up a gear

Gear Engineering SNC, Rome are pleased to announce the formation of a joint venture with Softbits Consultants Ltd located in the UK.

This new venture will take PSVPLUS, a PSV sizing program, to the next technical level by providing seamless integration with commercial process simulators, initially Aspen HYSYS and Aspen FLARENET. This new development will allow engineers to merge flowsheet simulation data, flare relief network data and PSV sizing data together in one place, PSVPLUS. The direct data interface will reduce engineer error, improve consistency and most importantly dramatically reduce the man hours required for relief system design. 

Release of this exciting new relief and safety software is scheduled for summer this year. Softbits Consultants which also develops and markets FLARESIM, the industry standard for flare radiation modelling, will handle all marketing and distribution of the new software package.
